I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at HCLTech in Sep 2018
Interview
I was contacted by one of the recruiter. It was not very professional from the very start. The recruiter didn't include how the interview will be proceeded, like in person or phone or video call. On the actual interview day, the interviewer who seems to be an engineer, called one hour early, to which I said I am not available yet. So we agreed to do it on the time we agreed before. This time around, the interviewer was late for 30 minutes, and very unprepared, and disorganized. I answered both technical questions correct. The interview ended abrupt because he seemed to have something else to do. 1 week after and nothing. So disorganized to a point I didn't know what just happened lol.
Overall interview was pretty easy
I don't know why they rejected me, from my perspective it went fairly well.
They interviewer was looking if I have mug up everything or not, they don't care if you are hands on or not. It was a bad experience, never going to interview with HCL ever again.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HCLTech (Kuala Lumpur) in Feb 2026
Interview
Got a call from HR but never got an interview from them. Follow up with HR for days and still got nothing. HR always say that he will schedule an interview but he never did. Very poor management and interview experience. They are still posting jobs on LinkedIn. Don’t know how people are getting hired when hr is not doing anything.
