I applied online for a part-time position and caught a call back about a week later. I missed the call so I responded to their message twice, finally realizing the place that you need to call only takes messages. Finally got a call back where a phone interview took place. I was asked to give some information on the company, my skills, my schedule, why I'd like to work for H&M. We then scheduled an in-person interview.
At the office, which was very small (from what I saw) and quiet, I was interviewed by 2 recruiters in a small room. They obviously were interviewing people every half hour. The interview was very casual. They asked some questions from the telephone interview as well as others. In the end they offered the position and accepted.
What then happened was that I realized I gave them the wrong schedule information, and when I called in to tell them they told me they couldn't hire me at the moment because my schedule didn't work for them. I later switched things up a bit, called back the next day and was rehired.
It's key that you know what a sales advisor does and how your skills will translate. As well, know information about H&M and definitely say key words in the job description, such as "multi-task" and "fast-paced environment."
