The H&M interview process is all about getting to know you, not just your experience, but your vibe, your energy, and how you connect with people. It usually starts with an online application, followed by either a one-on-one or group interview, depending on the role and store. You might be asked about teamwork, problem-solving, fashion trends, or how you’d handle certain customer situations. It’s a casual, friendly process, but they pay close attention to how well you understand the brand and whether you genuinely enjoy working with people. In short: come as you are, but come prepared to connect.

Question 1
If H&M were a person, how would you describe their personality?
It's a group interview and in mine there were x4 other people. We introduced ourselves and got split into teams to complete a task on their values. Then we were split into different teams and were given a hypothetical customer who wanted help with their outfit - we had to create an outfit accordingly therefore roamed around the store to find clothing items that fit the brief. Afterwards, we explained why we chose those clothes and then were asked x2 competency-based questions.

Engaging and interactive, having opportunity to engage with managers and customers at the same time. Actual sit down interviews were fairly brief/in groups with opportunity to shadow during business hours.
"The interview process went smoothly and I felt confident in my answers. I made sure to mention my customer service experience and I felt I connected well with both the interviewers and the other candidates in the group."
