I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Melville, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
Very easy going and conversational. Just wants to see if you connect with the people and culture. Had an interview on campus, then was invited to the location where I wanted to work. There were 15 other people being interviewed at the office for the same position.
The first round of interviews was a group interview with four people, followed by an English essay. Neither the interview questions nor the essay topic had anything to do with auditing, and the interview questions seemed to be fixed; some interviewees even knew the questions beforehand. If that's true, I think it's unfair.
The interview process at Grant Thornton typically involves multiple stages, including an initial phone screening, a behavioral interview, and a technical or case-based assessment. Candidates may also meet with managers or partners. The process emphasizes cultural fit, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, often concluding with a final round or offer discussion
