I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google (Bengaluru)
Interview
The process began with a positive and well-organized recruiter screening. However, the subsequent interview with the hiring manager was disappointing.
Hiring Manager Interview: The hiring manager interview began abruptly with a rapid-fire series of questions, leaving little room for a natural conversation or for me to elaborate on my experiences. I felt there was a lack of effort to create a comfortable and engaging interview environment; the interaction felt very one-sided.
During my responses, the interviewer yawned multiple times, which conveyed a lack of engagement and interest in what I was sharing. This unprofessional behavior made me feel my time was not valued. The format of the interview resembled a 'viva' with a barrage of questions and minimal opportunity for in-depth discussion or for me to ask meaningful questions. The interviewer question did not align with the job responsibilities he was expecting while working as TPM
Advice for Other Candidates: Based on my experience with the hiring manager, be prepared for a potentially disengaged and one-sided interview.

Question 1
how do you deliver critical program, walk me through the complete program lifecycle, challenging project etc. , how would you explain technical concept to anyone non-technical same questions rephrased. This was hilarious, as in my head my response was - "I just covered this question in my previous one and you still didn't get it?"
Two process interview. was not clear. first interview with recruiter which thought it will go well. second with Hiring manager which was not clear what was asked or needed. Not sure why went through this.

I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Ámsterdam) in May 2026
Interview
had first interview with recruiter - she was nice. thought that I was the right person for the job. Second interview with manager from the US. was less good. felt like the main reason for the interview was to hire a similar person to the person who was interviewing. we talked at night (for me) and was 30 min over the interview allocated time, but the morning after I got a rejection call.
I did 3 rounds of interview as part of the loop. 4th interview got postponed and eventually they decide not proceed with my application. The interviewers were from West Virginia and London. They were great and I enjoyed the interviews. Just disappointed that I couldn’t land the role.
