I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google in Jan 2021
Interview
The process left a bad taste in my mouth. It was a phone interview with two people and the second one lasted for 25 minutes. The interviewer was disinterested and I felt rushed through the process. This was probably the worst interview I've had to engage in. The recruiter told me the interview would cover "LIGHT domain expertise," however the interview ended up being majority of the domain expertise, so that was misleading. My process was a little different because there wasn't a particular team OR role I was interviewing for. I was going to get matched at the end of the process--which makes no sense. Overall, based off my two interviews I would't want to apply for this company again. The questions covered were general, however the interviewers were not the greatest in my opinion. It's like they were obligated to interview me and there wasn't any room for engagement. The interviewers didn't answer my question substantially. My process was an unfortunate situation. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or what?
These interviews can really kill one's confidence. Do your best, and if it's for you... it will be for you.

I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Ámsterdam) in May 2026
Interview
had first interview with recruiter - she was nice. thought that I was the right person for the job. Second interview with manager from the US. was less good. felt like the main reason for the interview was to hire a similar person to the person who was interviewing. we talked at night (for me) and was 30 min over the interview allocated time, but the morning after I got a rejection call.
I did 3 rounds of interview as part of the loop. 4th interview got postponed and eventually they decide not proceed with my application. The interviewers were from West Virginia and London. They were great and I enjoyed the interviews. Just disappointed that I couldn’t land the role.
