I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
I was referred by an ex-colleague who had left for Google a few years back. Same day I heard from the recruiter. After an introductory phone call with her I was set up with the hiring manager the following week. I thought I did pretty well with a mix of technical and behavioral questions. He also took the time to explain details of the position making sure it matched what I was looking for.
At the end of the call he asked how soon can I be onsite. Since I am local and HM was traveling soon I ended up onsite at MTV campus within 4-5 days. The onsite interview process was pretty smooth. 5 interviews plus an informal lunch with the hiring manager. I had prepared and rehearsed a bunch of examples for behavioral questions and was able to, for the most part, navigate those seamlessly. Everyone was cordial and respectful. If you know your stuff and prepare well you can nail Google onsite interview. The recruiter got in touch within 4 days that the feedback had been submitted to the hiring committee and they will scheduled my review soon. Before knowing the committee decision we started discussing remuneration expectations which was a positive sign. The negotiation process took sometime and after several back and forths I accepted the offer. So excited to work at one of the top employers in the world!!

Describe a technical topic to me like I am C-executive
I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Ámsterdam) in May 2026
Interview
had first interview with recruiter - she was nice. thought that I was the right person for the job. Second interview with manager from the US. was less good. felt like the main reason for the interview was to hire a similar person to the person who was interviewing. we talked at night (for me) and was 30 min over the interview allocated time, but the morning after I got a rejection call.
I did 3 rounds of interview as part of the loop. 4th interview got postponed and eventually they decide not proceed with my application. The interviewers were from West Virginia and London. They were great and I enjoyed the interviews. Just disappointed that I couldn’t land the role.
