      Very through. Wanted to know my background in the field. Wanted to know what certifications I held and what future certifications I would be interested in for their company. How would I motivate the different populations that their company serviced.

      Interview

      The normal hiring and interview process is to set up an audition with the group fitness director. Potential employees get an opportunity to teach a portion of the class so the director can determine skill level. Most instructors are hired as subs first and then they work their way into a permanent class.

      I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gold's Gym (Midlothian, VA) in Mar 2011

      Interview

      I submitted an application and received a phone call for an interview. The interview was given by the Group Exercise Manager and consisted of a few questions regarding my past experiences, my current employment, my current certifications and any references. The entire interview process lasted around 20 minutes and was held in the cafe area, not a private office.
