The interviews were quite pleasant but felt rather superficial, consisting mainly of informal discussions. At every stage, I had the impression that senior management didn’t value the legal field. Overall, it seemed they had little interest in engaging with legal matters, viewing the role as merely an administrative function. I must admit, I was both surprised and concerned by this perspective, as it strikes me as a risky approach in a business where the legal function is typically regarded as strategic.
