I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Glovo (Varsovia, Mazovia) in Dec 2019
Interview
One Leadership Style interview and one 1,5 hour long "Technical" interview with 2 engs who could be my sons. The interviewers were asking stupid questions from CS - most of these very basic and irritating especially when you have 15 years of experience. I am not sure what do they need this for. Waste of time

Question 1
Basic SW Eng and CS fundamentals: What is thread? what is memory? What is stack? What is JSON? What is DB? Waste of time
After talking to the nice HR lady (none of the 4 people I talked to 2 years ago is there anymore), I talked to the Senior Engineers.
They were overall nice if a bit unprepared, they pasted on Zoom the discussion topics for 1 hour.
Very vanilla case, nothing I hadn't seen, so I clarified the questions and answered with confidence where I could.
I got rejected via email some days later, claiming I didn't have enough technical knowledge to belong to Glovo. I admitted a couple of mistakes and rebuked 80% of the claims with examples and theory. And they wanted me to say "observability" when trying to debug an issue? When all you know is a hammer, all you see if a nail.
So I don't think these people know what they claim to.
More shockingly, when I interviewed the engineers, they manifested their dissatisfaction with the company and the culture and one could see the fear in their eyes, when I brought up Delivery Hero or performance reviews.
In the end, I'm glad I didn't join!

Question 1
How would analyse buggy releases of a mobile app and prevent it at a process level?
Overall a long, time consuming and chaotique process It took 2 months from initial screening to outcome. Evaluation was mainly on tech & mgm ... to ultimately tell me I succeed at both tech & mgmt ... but my background profile doesn't fit any open position in the company (HR struggle at providing factual reasons)(this should have been detected from day 1 or the process should have been canceled if the possible position was closed during the process) Most all meetings went in the opposite way the HR announced: - technical interview turned to behavioural interviews and vice versa, - home work test review never happen and turned into general tech interview (I could have submitted the work from somebody else ... they wouldn't had spot it) - long time to confirm interviewer Take home test was time consuming but not challenging (a bit boring actually)(questions I raised after receiving the assignment weren't answered) Discussions with engineers were interesting and company 's software/data culture the looks good.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glovo (Barcelona) in Sep 2020
Interview
Email from recruiter asking to enter my availability in a page. Interview with recruiter. After that I decided to not continue, it was never explained further steps or anything else about the process. She was asking questions about non technical things, expecting to hear some specific concrete answer she thinks is correct (with arrogance) and will not let me explain anything.
