It was not too formal although I found they were very professional. They asked me for reference letters and also they asked me for my previous contributions in science.

Most of the technical question where addressed to my previous job. I feel comfortable discussing my work so it was not a problem for me.
Had a 2 round interview with my professor, who explained the details of the project and expectations to me. They were very kind and professional. I had to provide 3 references and prove language proficiency.

Interview
One-on-one, in-person interview with the supervisor while he was traveling for a field trip. I presented the research I had conducted during my PhD studies and expressed my interest in pursuing a postdoctoral position in his lab. When he returned, I received the offer and accepted it.
