General Motors (GM) Entry-Level Software Engineer interview questions

1. HireVue questions about past projects. 5 questions with 3 minute responses for each question. You are given the opportunity to answer each question twice. 2. HireVue coding assessment. 2 algorithms and data structures questions. 3. 30 minute phone screening, asking for available times for interviews and clarifying information. 4. 2 1-hour interviews asking information about past projects and resume (Behavioral questions). 5. Phone call / Email of offer.

I had a coding test with 2 questions followed by a short phone call to schedule a Skype interview. After the phone call I declined to proceed to the Skype interview because the person I spoke to told me that GM couldn’t guarantee that I would be put in a software developer position if hired.
