They went over my resume. It was with 3 other managers. It was for an entry level position so they just wanted to hear about my past experiences. It lasted the full hour and they give you all the opportunity to talk. They also described the business and what they provided and did.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Resume questions were the most of it. Just be up to date on your resume and prepare to answer any of the past experience you may have.
I applied online. I interviewed at General Atomics in Oct 2023
Interview
The interviewer no-showed the first interview. I waited for an hour, then rescheduled for later in the week. She showed up to the second interview, but asked just a few questions while rambling unprofessionally about her work, her responsibilities, the challenges of working in her department and with upper management, and more.
I applied online. I interviewed at General Atomics (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
Simple phone interview first. Very classic. Next was supposed to be an in person panel interview with 3 purchasing managers but they had to reschedule last minute and once I got the new confirmation, only 1 of the 3 people were going to interview me so I asked them to reschedule when everyone was available and I was told “oh everyone will be there” and it was a video interview instead. Okay no problem except when I joined the interview on Teams, only 2 people ever showed up. 3rd person was nowhere to be found and I never got an explanation. Also I was the only one who had my camera on which was odd since this video interview was a replacement for an in person interview. I would have liked to talk to a face instead of a screen. Not to mention one guy was coming back from a dentist appointment and he clearly wasn’t listening to me very well. He “clarified” that the correct answer to a question he asked was to “talk to your manager”. That was one of the first things I said. Also why are we asking that question? We’re all professionals, of course I’ll be talking with my manager. Then they called be back and offered me 10k lower than my min salary requirement because they felt I wasn’t worth the amount I asked for. Hard pass. Didn’t even counter offer.
