Call with a recruiter, about a week later had a call with the hiring manager, after which I was invited to interview in person on a panel. I was also asked to provide 5 references and ask them to take a 32 question survey and an additional two write in prompts, PRIOR to the panel interview. Two had to be current or former managers, and 3 peers/colleagues. No offer extended. The reference check frustrated me, understandably it is important GA does thorough reference checks, however I hope in the future the company will consider a more streamlined approach. Prematurely requesting an extensive reference survey from 5 mangers and colleagues who are very busy is excessive, an inconvenience to them, and risky for the applicant.
