I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Gap
Interview
I simply just submit an applications and two days later the GM called me for an interview which took about 25min. She wanted me to tell her about me, then go on for the two initial questions that first of all what do you think about good customer service?, second of all saying how would you handle the multitasking job environment especially during those holiday seasons? I pretty much answered the way I believe about customer by making an example of my experience from this particular GAP store. Also, about the multitasking, I'm super organized and well managing of time as making a priority of the tasks, so not much a big of a deal being a multitasker. The GM pretty much liked the whole answers I gave her, and got an offer after a day from the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing difficult or unexpected, but two initial question were what do you think good customer service and how would you handle the multitasking job environment during the busiest seasons like holidays.
Apply online. If they're interested they'll call you withnin a couple of days or less for an interview. It will be group interview, so you have to be talkative! One of the easy question was "Tell me about yourself?". Obviously you tell them about what you're good at for this job environment not what you like to do at home. Keep it positive & smile!
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gap (California City, CA) in Oct 2012
Interview
As most, I applied online. I wasn't expecting a call but a couple of days later I was given an interview date. I was freaking out, as this was my first interview and did my research on the company and searched all of the possible questions I could be asked. By the way everyone made it seem, I was bound to be asked a lot of questions and probably end up picking an outfit at the sales floor but I wasn't. Two other candidates and I sat outside the store with the interviewer who asked us the basics; Why do you want to work here? Tell me about your last job? and one scenario question. That was totally it. She told us they'd make a decision in two days, and that they'd only call one of us. I didn't expect to be called but I was! I now have the orientation to go to and i'm ready to go! My advice is that when they ask you why you want to work there, you say because you believe what the company stands for which is "providing the optimal shopping experience." Gap is all about providing great costumer service, so keep that in mind! Ask questions and keep positive! :)
