I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Gap in Jan 2009
Interview
Basically you have a phone interview with the HR Recruiter for the company. If you pass that then you get an interview with the District Manager. and Lastly you interview with the Regional Director. The HR interview is jus common. with the DM its more about how you lead people and your people management skills along with driving for results. With the RD its more so just sizing you up as a formality it seems, just checking your character and if your likeable.

Question 1
What would your previous direct reports have to say about you as a leader if we asked them?
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap in Aug 2009
Interview
I applied to to the gap and called the next morning and said "Hello my name is so and so and I was just wondering if and when you wanted me to start". The lady on the phone laughed and wanted to get me in for an interview that same day. It was a group interview with 8 people and they asked questions like "When was a time you got something you wanted and how did you get it" or "What is your worst quality" to the group in general and they more aggressive people got to answer. I was very aggressive making sure I answered most of the questions... I guess that impressed them because I got the job!

Question 1
What is something you wanted and how did you get it?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap in Feb 2010
Interview
The interview was actually very quick and simple. I only had one job previously and it was seasonal but the manager who interviewed me seemed to have made up his mind to hire me before we even spoke. I also managed to be a half hour late and was still hired. He said his main reason was because of my positive attitude and the fact that I smile all the time. (They're big on smiling) He asked a little bit about what I did at my last job but most of it was just explaining what I'd be doing with them and the pay and what the hours would be like.
