Applied online. Recruiter contacted me within a couple of weeks to ask basic questions about my background and salary expectations. Had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Had an onsite interview a week after. Was told I would hear from them regarding next steps in a couple of weeks. 2 months later, and nothing. I reached out to the recruiter a couple of times, but never heard back from her. I have heard that this is normal. The Gap is known for their awful recruiting team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
be prepared to provide examples of how your experience relates to the job you applied to.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gap (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2010
Interview
I found about this job internally, but it was also posted on craigslist and on gap's public career website. It was a week from when I submitted my resume to when I interviewed.
The interviewer wanted to hear about my scheduling ability, and specifically to hear stories about challenging experiences. Also, they wanted to hear how much I loved working at the Gap, and how I believed this position was perfect for me - that was important! Show a lot of enthusiasm, and show no doubt that you'd love the position more than any other you could pursue.
