      Sales Associate Interview

      Oct 18, 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gap in Oct 2012

      Interview

I applied online through the Gap.com website. It will list jobs for Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy. I was contacted about a month after I applied and my interview was scheduled for within the same week. During the interview, the manager first clearly explained the company culture and team attitude. Right off the bat I was told if hired I would receive a 50% discount at Gap and BR as well as a discount at Old Navy. The interview was about 20 minutes long. The orientation took about 4 hours and included paperwork, locker assignment, policies and such, a video about the Gapcard benefits and how to promote it, a video about the company and loss prevention and finally a walk through of the store sections. During the walk through they go over key customer service priorities for you to know. You are given everything you need to suceed in your job.

      Interview

It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
