Interview
I had three interviews: first one with one of the ML engineers, second one with the group leader and a final one with a 2 person panel. The first two were pretty easy and involved questions about my CV and a simple genomics ML problem. The final one was a presentation, followed by technical and behavioral questions. which was a bit harder. But overall, the three interviews were a good experience and the interviewers were nice and respectful. 2 weeks after the final interview, I talked to someone from HR who gave me the impression that an offer was being seriously considered.
But the negative experience began after this. There was radio silence from GSK after my final interview. I emailed both of my interviewers but got no response. Few weeks later I got an automated rejection and I emailed once again asking for feedback or referral for other roles at GSK and again got no response.
Reading the other ML Engineer interviews here on Glassdoor makes me think that ghosting seems like a company attribute. I'm quite baffled as to why can't GSK employees don't bother responding to candidates who reached the final step? It's very insulting to receive an automated rejection if you're one of the final candidates.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2020
Interview
I applied for a machine learning engineer position and the first phone interview went very well. I then received an email stating that I would not be considered for the role but I had been put forward for their AI residency programme. I then had an hour long video call with one of the programme leads about my research interests and experience, which I also felt went very well. The next stage was a further 1hr 45min interview consisting of STAR based questions and a technical. This stage did not go so well but I was ensured I would be informed as to whether I had been selected for the next stage within a week. I never heard back from them despite multiple follow up emails. Very cold and unprofessional considering I had gone through over 3 hours of interviewq

Had one behavioral interview by video conf. went well from my estimation. was told a take-home technical assessment would be sent to me in two days. emailed twice to follow up, read my emails(i have read receipts) but never responded, or sent the assessment.
