I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (Singapur) in Mar 2016
Interview
Applied through my university job portal. I went through three stages before accepting another offer.
Stage One:
- Fill in online application
Stage Two:
- Aptitude test: Not timed so don't stress. Had to look at some graphs and figure out some MCQs. Having a calculator nearby would be handy
- Personality test: Out of three options, select one which best match your personality (might want to read up on the GSK values)
Stage Three:
- Video interview: Felt really awkward while I was doing this because it feels like you talking to yourself. haha. I would suggest you keep eye contact by looking into the webcam. I put a sticker near by webcam so I had a focus point. Take note that this stage is timed, having only 2 - 3 minutes to answer the question. This might seem like a lot, but once the time starts ticking, you may run the risk of rambling. Try to get some structure into your answers and highlight what YOU did, not what your team or team leader did. Don't be modest!
- There are unlimited practice rounds where you will be shown questions and have you answer them within the time limit. No point doing more than 2 practice rounds because the questions will be the same, just in jumbled order.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- What do you know about this position?
- Tell us about a time when you planned and organized something
- Tell us about a time when you lead a group/project
- Tell us about a time when you used your problem solving skills
- After the questions, you'll be given 2 minutes to say your "parting words" (lol, ominous). Try to prepare for this because you might ramble (I know I did!) and end on a positive note! Oh! Remember to thank the interviewer too!
