I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at GSK (Collegeville, PA) in Apr 2010
Interview
I applied through my school and was contacted by telephone. I received an overview of the position and was asked some basic questions about my experience, resume, and skills. During the phone conversation I was asked to come in for an onsite interview. Once onsite, I met with various scientists throughout the day. It was all very informal and casual. I was asked the basic behavioral questions that people find online, but they were more interested in me just telling them about my skills & understanding of the position. Overall, it was really easy - they just wanted a competent co-op.
I applied online. I interviewed at GSK (King of Prussia, PA)
Interview
Interviewed with the manager and 2 others, the interview took about 30 minutes. Mostly general behavioral questions such as describe what would you do if you had a conflict with your co-workers.
The interview process at GSK was structured and professional. It included behavioral and technical questions, with a strong focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and cultural fit. Communication throughout was clear and respectful.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself and why you'd be a good fit at GSK?
The interview was fast and interviewers were very friendly. I had 3 rounds of interview. None of them were particularly complicated. I was asked typical behavioral questions. It felt like the main objective of the hiring manager and the team was to know me better rather than test my skills.
