I approached the Head of Brand interview with optimism, given the company’s claims about professionalism and respect. The recruiter who led the first stage communicated clearly, said I was a great candidate, and committed to providing feedback within a few days.
That commitment turned out to be empty. After the interview, there was complete silence—no follow-up, no acknowledgment, and no explanation. This wasn’t just a lapse in communication; it directly contradicted the values they promote. When an organization brands itself on integrity and respect but fails to practice these principles even at the recruitment stage, it undermines trust from the outset.
Such misalignment between words and actions is a red flag. If a company cannot uphold basic professional courtesy with senior candidates, it raises legitimate questions about how they behave internally and whether their values are more marketing than reality.
