Interview
Spoke to a recruiter, who seemed to be a third party hire. I was asked questions about my employment history and regarding my expertise in sql. I was moved on to an interview with the team, but this wasn't productive as it seems like the team is a software development team and is not familiar with data science or how it is applied in general, or how it will be applied at GE.
Chill process, just went through an automated test and a casual conversation with a recruiter. Did not get an offer, not sure what higher levels of the interview may look like as well.
The job is based in Xian , China. After 3 days after application online I got call from interviewer. The interviewer asked some basic theoretical machine learning and data science questions, details of projects I have done. After that briefly introduced what data scientist do for this position. Didn't get further response after interview.
