Question 1
What are your relevant experiences? Are you willing to do sales as well?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in Nov 2020
Interview
I went in and asked if they were currently hiring. I let them know I was available everyday and showed them my resume. They weren’t hiring but hired me because of my personality and availability.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Forever 21 (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
I was very excited about this opportunity. I worked with a wonderful recruiter who kept me informed of the process, and everything was going well until it came time to schedule interview with the hiring manager (I believe her name was Erica- something) This manager rescheduled our call so many times I thought surely it was some sort of joke! It was not.
I understand things can come up, but going through a handful of reschedules was beyond absurd. It was just such a show of disrespect of my time.
My recruiter Larissa was sweet and very apologetic about the constant changes, I feel she must have wanted to die inside. So I feel bad even reviewing this department since it wasn't her fault, but it just seems like her manager doesn't care about anyone but herself, and if she treats the public so flippantly, I can only imagine working for her long term must be an absolute nightmare.
I would have loved to work at one of my favorite brands, but this experience tainted Forever 21 for me. One day I hope they have a new manager in place, because until then, I would definitely NOT recommend applying to any retail roles knowing they have a manager that is so unprofessional, lacking any tact, and incapable of prioritizing roles they are allegedly hiring for. Very disappointed this company has an employee like this.
