Fluor interview questions

1st interview via agency 2nd interview in person at Fluor Headquarters in Farnborough. The in person interview started with a short H&S video, then into a meeting room. Informal process, didn't ask many questions about experience or background. Interviewer polite and friendly. However, they filled the position internally so a bit of a waste really to take time from current role to attend an interview and they filled in house.

An agent contacted me about the AE position at Fluor. Initially, he conducted assessments and I had to provide two references before considering me for the role. He then presented me to the company, and I had two interviews. The first was with three people and the second was with the CEO. After meeting with the CEO, I felt positive about getting the job. However, it took a month to make a decision. The agent reassured me that I was the preferred candidate and they were following standard procedure by meeting another candidate. There were mixed messages, and I felt like they were toying with me. In the end, they informed me that the position had been given to someone who worked as an administrative assistant. This process wasted a month and a half of my time.
