I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Houston, TX) in Sep 2018
Interview
I spoke to a recruiter at a conference and I got an interview for the next day. The interview was laid back but professional. The interviewer went through my resume and asked questions based on my academic and field work experience . The interviewer also asked questions that helped determine if I would be a good fit for the geoscience team at Exxon Mobil. After the interview I was told that I may not be a good fit for the geoscience team because of the ranking system they practiced. This was after I told her I thrive working in a team environment. After 3 months I got a generic rejection email saying that they do no have a position that fit my skill set.
