The interview was fairly standard asking about my experience and interest in the role. When discussing the next interview stages, my interviewer seemed pretty annoyed at the fact that I don't own a laptop which is able to run fairly hefty programs such as SAS and R which doesn't seem particularly reasonable.
Also, in my 'personalised' rejection call, the company cited that their reason was that I didn't have a masters while other candidates did.. except I do have a masters degree which is very clearly stated on my CV and was obviously a talking point in the interview.

Employer Branding Coordinator
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Experian (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2021
Interview
Initial screening call with HR then scheduled an interview with the manager of the specific marketing team for this role.
Unfortunately the manager made inappropriate comments when I mentioned I'm a caregiver. I was stunned and after that call I knew I did not want to work for an organisation that allows that kind of ableism and discrimination so I let the Initial HR contact know what happened and withdrew myself as a candidate. HR went through the tick box exercise of investigating only to do nothing so I do not recommend considering this company if you are a parent, or caregiver for a disabled relative etc.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Experian (Sídney) in Oct 2021
Interview
- 3 interviews/conversations organized over 2 weeks
- First with direct reporting manager (30mins)
- Second with key stakeholders that the role would be working closely with (1 hour)
- Third with the MD (45 mins).
The whole process was quick and seamlessly organized through their internal HR (not recruiter) and felt more like conversations instead of interviews.
Not one behavioral question was asked and felt very authentic and honest.
Was very impressed at the speed of the whole process for a global company.
