The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Experian (Nottingham, Inglaterra) in Jan 2010
Interview
I was offered an interview by email.
The interview was in 2 parts, firstly the interviewer met me and outlined the excel test I was about to take - this was a tailored test for the role and consisted of using sorts and pivot tables and making it look good. The test took 25 minutes.
The interview was a case of going through my cv and highlighting what I have done in my day to day role and how these skills could be applied. Nothing too difficult and no challenging questions at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What skills do you think are relevant for the role?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Experian (Costa Mesa, CA) in Sep 2009
Interview
After going through a number of telephone screening interviews with HR, the hiring manager, and a potential peer, I was invited to the Costa Mesa campus. I was flown out and put up in a local hotel by the company at their expense. I met 1:1 with numerous potential peers and eventually my hiring manager face to face. All of the interviews were nice, people were engaging and open. I specifically did research on every one of them and they really seemed to be impressed by the fact that I knew a lot of little things. When I met with my hiring manager, the initial enthusiasm that she had for me over the phone was not there and after a very short meeting, I met one more person and that was it.
After a few weeks delay, I got a call from the manager telling me that I was a fantastic candidate, that I did not make the next cut and I would be kept in mind for other positions. She also went on to say that no candidate was perfect so I remember feeling as if there was no standout candidate. Maybe, maybe not.
