I came in and the manager was analyzing me like I was a mental patient, trying to gauge my personality and if I made eye contact. There was also a lot of talk about whether I would be accepted by a lady who had been there her whole life since she terrorized everyone new. He made it quite clear it's about customer service first and foremost. We sat at a table in the cafeteria and he explained his degrees and years of experience in the kitchen, not really a whole lot about the company itself. He was friendly at the time, and offered better compensation than what I was doing at the time.
