Interview
Many rounds of interviews on recruiting day. You meet members from different teams and get the chance to know each department. Some strategy-based and common knowledge questions are asked. Can be tiring as this goes on for the full day

Question 1
Some situational question, if you were a pizza delivery guy how would you creatively use a pair of scissors
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Emma in Dec 2022
Interview
I was invited to the process by someone on LinkedIn and it was mentioned that language skill was not mandatory. On the day, the hiring manager began the interview in a language different from English (which was being used so far in all communication and job description) which caused a bad impression, as it felt the process was disorganised and that people didn't talk to each other. The manager who conducted the interview seemed to be uninterested in being there, bored and did not express any enthusiasm about me joining the team, which showed a lack of interview training and social skills. That didn't help in motivating me to want to go work for them either. I don't know why I was invited to this process to waste my time and theirs. I was supposed to have a reply, probably negative, after a couple of weeks, but they didn’t bother and I was ghosted. The process - as mentioned it would be - seemed old fashioned, with old school logic tests, and not aligned with the image they try to project. Also, in-person work and relocation to Lisbon are mandatory, when everyone wants to go remote-first and WFH. Overall, they could use more organisation, friendliness and respect towards the candidates.

Interview
1 - Send CV / Cover Letter
2 - Online tests. These are challenging, but there are hundreds, if not thousands of practice questions online. I imagine it would be almost impossible to complete the test Emma send in the allotted time, so focus on getting them right rather than trying to finish them.
3 - First Interview. Some challenging questions, but nothing major, focussing mainly on things on your CV, and some mental maths questions.
Recruitment Day - on a Friday lasting approx. 4 hours
4a - Company presentation.
4b - 2 x 1 hour interviews, with 2 interviewers in each. These are intense, and the questions focus more on the role itself, how you would fit in with the team, and to see how you think. They are there to challenge you, with a variety of questions, such as market sizing questions, 'tell me what you would do if...' questions, and lateral thinking questions.
4c - If this goes well, you will have another final interview with 1 other person. This is to touch base if anything has been missed in other interviews. I found this interview less intense and more of a conversation.
