CV screening. Invitation by a junior HR member to take a timed cognitive test. The next step would have been an interview panel day, but I didn't make it to this round.
The cognitive test was a timed exercise not relevant at all to the job description. The company obviously relies on this to screen out a large amount of candidates with minimal human resource investment on their side. I have no idea how this meets the market demands for diversity and inclusion, which I would assume barely exists at this company. The test was maths and logic based and reminded me of something you would do in school as a measurement of the school's performance. After being told that my average score on the cognitive tests didn't meet their search for above average candidates, despite my senior leadership experience and proven results I felt pretty demoralised. But over time realised I had likely dodged a bullet, as this kind of assessment was probably indicative of the management culture on the other side
