I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Emma in Oct 2024
Interview
The process was smooth, and the interviewer was kind and engaging, however, I did find the interview questions challenging. You really need to review the technicalities of the position you're applying to, because they ask questions related to that. I was also given 2 situational cases to answer and 1 brainteaser
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Relate your hobbies to the position you're applying to.
Define accruals and deferrals
The first round of the interview lasted 3o minutes and primarily focused on very basic HR questions aimed at understanding my background, motivations, and overall fit for the role. The interviewer asked standard questions about my past experiences, strengths, and career aspirations, as well as my interest in the position. In addition to this, there were a few case-based questions designed to assess my problem-solving approach and how I would handle real-world scenarios related to the job. I was also asked about my understanding of the company, including its business model and market positioning, and my rationale for wanting to work there. Overall, the round was introductory in nature, combining general HR screening with a light evaluation of analytical thinking and alignment with the company’s values and role expectations.
The recruiter didn't know where I was applying and asked me out of pocket questions and when I said it's too difficult for me to answer, they kept insisting. Didn't feel like a respectful interview tbh, I left the recruitment process myself.
