I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Bengaluru)
Interview
Unclear , unstructured and extremely unprofessional and disrespectful process. HR qualified the experience and said there will be 3 rounds. I had the first two rounds which went great. They were awaiting "leadership availability" for a month post which they simply made me talk to a junior HR (younger in age too) in the third round. The HR was intermittently playing with a kid on video. I was informed that interviews are cleared but they don't see a fit for the offered role. They made me talk to the hiring manager who started offering a grade lower without giving reasons for the same. "That role has gone to cold storage" i was told. I questioned the process and told them about my fitment for the role on offer cuz honestly i was over qualified for that too! They asked me to talk to leadership again and they said they will send an offer i cannot deny. I said ok. Later, that never happened. After multiple follownups and mails - hr finally said that the "approval didn't come through" and that they will reach out when the role opens again. That never happened despite listings showing that role were open later. No responses to mails or messages. All this after having heard on a Friday that they will send the offer letter on Monday itself!! Anyway, this shows the state of affairs at this India entity of this Pharma major. Great that i saw this before joining them.
