Interview
The process took 3 weeks. With none surprises there. The interviewers were the supervisors of the Quotation and Engineering department. Everything was explained very clear, the duties of the job, chances to get a full time job...
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly behavioral, none was about the field related (electrical). What would you do if someone does not fulfill your expectations?
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Eaton (Gainesville, FL) in Oct 2014
Interview
Spoke to a couple of Eaton representatives about getting a position in the Sales Development Program for Electrical Engineering. Unfortunately, only the representative for Hydraulics was there, so I had to interview with him. He was really friendly and easy to have a conversation with, and told me he'd get me an in person interview later that week. The interview mostly consisted of the usual behavioral questions, no technical questions, but they like you to use examples from different experiences such as school, work, and other internships. He said he would refer me to the person in charge of electrical sales since he was strictly hydraulic, but of course I never heard back from them. Should have just stuck with hydraulic and moved on from there.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a bad group experience. What did you do about it?
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Eaton (State College, PA) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied for the interview through a university website. The interview was on-campus, my sophomore year. It was my first interview ever, so I was quite nervous. They seemed to have about 20 students interviewing, which the engineer that interviewed me continued to remind me of. The initial interviewer was an HR female, she was quite nice and informative. She was sociable which helped me relax.
The second part of the interview was with an electrical engineer of the company. He was short and didn't seem very interested in the interview. I felt he was not pleased with the things I was saying because he would would just shake his head and move on, which seemed to fluster me. He continued to tell me "whatever happens after the interview keep doing what you're doing and you'll find a great career" which made it obvious to me he was not interested.
