      Interview

I applied online through their website. Within a day, I was contacted by a recruiter from their main office in Shanghai. The interview was done via Zoom. There weren't any questions that were related to teaching specifically. The interview questions were mostly general personality questions designed to assess how you handle stress. The process was very robotic and seemed like an exam.

      Interview

First, you receive a short phone call from your recruiter where they ask a couple of questions about why you want to apply for the role and what to expect. Then you can choose between a Skype or face to face interview, and I decided to do the latter. My interview at their London office went smoothly and I felt welcomed by the friendly staff and my recruiter. I had to do a short demo lesson in which I had to pretend my recruiter was a 7 year old and I taught her animal vocabulary. After this we had a conversation about the role requirements, my job history and experience that could help me to become a good teacher. Overall the process took less than an hour and I was sent a job offer that afternoon.
