Educational Tour Consultant/Regional Placement Manager Interview

      Sep 13, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at EF (Education First) (Denver, CO) in Aug 2018

      Interview

ET TOURS CONSULTANT: The first interview was a phone screening. It lasted about 25 minutes and it was the basic beginner questions like "Tell us about yourself", and "What brought you to apply for this job?" They emailed me to let me know I'd be moving on to the next stage, which was a skype interview. In the skype interview, which was about 30-45 minutes long, I was given a prompt to do a "presentation". Basically, just creatively talk about my goals, my passions, and how I'd fit with their company. They then picked my brain a bit more and asked some situational questions. Again, emailed me to let me know I'd moved on. The next interview was in person and it was about 2.5 hours long. I met with 4 people and these were much more in depth conversations. I met with 2 sales managers, the hiring manager and the sales trainer. There was a simulation call where you have to try and prove to them you have sales skills. Its a very sales based job and they hammer it into your brain, because I think they feel that most people just think it's a glamorous travel job. The emailed me to let me know they want to interview me for a separate job. REGIONAL PLACEMENT MANAGER Again a phone interview 15-25 minutes; then an in person where I met with 4 people, about 2.5 hours; then a skype interview with a Boston based director, about 45 minutes.
