Interviewed for a position in Nanjing over Skype. The interview was about 40 minutes long and consisted of three parts. The first was an explanation of my background in teaching experience, experience with children, and education. It also included questions such as 'why are you interested in becoming an English Teacher?' The second part was an exercise where I was provided with classroom materials and asked to explain what type of activities I would consider doing with those materials. It was very on the spot, so I would suggest asking ahead of time if you are doing something like that and for them to send you the materials so you have a bit of time to prepare. The third part of the interview was more questions, not all related to ESL work. For instance, 'what is a situation in which you did not react as well as you should have?' Or 'What is an instance in which you had to deal with a stressful situation you were unprepared for?' Etc. All in all, a good interview. It was one of my first via Skype, so just be prepared to have it be a slightly different vibe than a face-to-face or telephone interview. I got an offer the following day.

They asked confusing questions with no real context behind it. I think they should given more scenario based questions for this type of job interview. It just felt very awkward and chaotic.
