I applied through college or university. I interviewed at EF (Education First) (Boston, MA) in Mar 2017
Interview
I applied through my university job board and was invited for an on-campus interview. At the end of the interview, I was invited for a full day in-person interview in the Boston offices.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are three of your strengths and three of your weaknesses?
I applied for the program based in Tokyo when it was advertised. I was invited to interview but because of incredibly poor organisation on the part of the hiring manager it never actually happened. I had to email her five times over the course of a few weeks just to get a response. When she finally responded she not only scheduled me an interview for 4 am my time (a time zone she was made aware of at several points during the application process and through email) she told me about the interview AT 1AM ON THE DAY IT WAS SCHEDULED. I tried repeatedly to reschedule it when I saw the invitation and was told quite rudely that they’re not responding to candidates that haven’t been shortlisted after interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at EF (Education First) (Zúrich) in Jan 2020
Interview
The first stage consists of a CV and cover letter screening, where applicants are asked to answer questions like "What is the craziest thing you have ever done?". Afterwards, a video interview is done (through Jobvite) with questions such as "What is the thing you are most passionate about. Please answer the question in your third language". After successfully completing this round, I was invited to a first skype interview with one of the hiring recruiters. Thereafter, there was a psychometric tests that measured Numerical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Deductive-logical Thinking and took in total 45-60 min to complete. Afterwards, I was invited to a second skype interview with another hiring recruiter. The last step would have been an assessment day in Zurich.
