This was my first experience interviewing with a tech company specifically and it didn't disappoint! As with some interview processes, this one took around 3 weeks in total interviewing time--there were a few pauses only because of key staff being out of town, and my awesome recruiter made sure I was in the know of that detail which was very nice of her.
I touched base first with my recruiter via phone and we had a chat about my skill sets, the type of position/the needs for the company and a bit about the company itself. Speaking with my recruiter was unique in that I never felt like I was being interrogated (as with other companies recruiters that I've experienced in the past). She and another Duo recruiter I've spoken with were super genial, helpful, and easy-going.
Afterwards, I had a phone chat scheduled with the manager of the role I'd applied for, which went into further specifics about the job, the company, some tech-talk, and plenty of Q&A between us.
After that, an in-person was scheduled, and I was e-mailed details as to who I'd be meeting with and the itinerary for that day. It was a 3 hour process that--thanks to top notch scheduling on the part of my interviewers--felt like it lasted maybe about an hour and half! There were a series of 30-minute one-on-one "getting to know you/getting to know the job & company" chats in Duo's elegant Allmendinger office, an easy-going lunch with two key staffers at a nearby bar/restaurant, then finally a brief office tour and conversational wrap-up with my recruiter.
I'll probably gauge any interview processes I have in the distant future by this one, it was super nicely executed. Everyone at Duo is a consistent pleasure to talk with and meet and they always do their best to make you feel welcome, whether or not you're coming in to interview with them.
