Dollar General Cashier/Sales Associate interview questions

The manager called me to come in for an interview a few days after I completed an online application. The interview was very pleasant and we talked about my work history briefly, but mostly about the store, his own goals within the corporation and why his store was one of the highest ranked in the area. After the sit-down interview, I was given a tour of the store which was interrupted repeatedly by employees (all new) needing help.

When I had my initial interview at Kellyville Dollar General, the previous manager was the one that did it. When asked about my education, I told her that I was enrolled in an Online College because I could not afford the gas to go back and forth to a college forty miles away. She then began to put down my efforts for getting an education saying that it wasn't a "real college". After the interview she said that she would call me and let me know, I had already had experience as a cashier in a much busier store, Wal-Mart. She did not call me back, and in fact when I called her back she was very rude to me and tried to make me feel worthless. This is the worst interview experience ever. When interviewed at Sapulpa Dollar General, the manager was much more polite, I ended up with the job I applied for and then was transferred to the Kellyville store after the manager left.
