Dollar General Sales Associate/Cashier interview questions

Looked over application and resume, asked basic past job questions, asked to then give a time you went above and beyond for a irate customer even when they were in the wrong and diffused the situation. What was the problem and how and what did you do to resolve it? Was offered a job on spot upon urine d-test and basic felony back ground check and offered $8hr but once first check came in was $7.25hr and then one week into completely new management and they were not able to help or fix it. Only one raise a yr after a years review time.
