I applied online. I interviewed at Dollar General (Lexington, MI) in Oct 2014
Interview
Applied online took about a month due to complications with their online employment application process. Had a one on one with store manager and the next day found out I was hired . Took a couple of tests then started that week.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dollar General (Lawrenceville, GA) in Apr 2018
Interview
I walked to the back of the store in the area where they unload trucks and that's where the interview took place. A very nice lady interviewed me there and the whole thing lasted about 20 minutes. She asked me some basic questions and gave me a denominations test. She also told me the history about Dollar General, the dress code, and what my duties would be if I did get hired. I didn't get an offer, but the experience was very decent.

Question 1
If a customer needed $13.68 in change, in what denominations would you give it in?
I applied online. I was called to schedule an interview in person. I went to a store and interviewed with the store manager. The questions were basic interview questions asked when applying for retail positions. I gave my availability and a little bit about my work history. In about two days I received an email with New Hire information. The next day I got the call with the offer. I had to complete the new hire "packet" on line. I went for a drug screen. I was called when my background check and drug screen came back and was scheduled to start the next day.
