Interview
Recruiter reached out for an initial phone screen and scheduled a virtual interview with the hiring manager the following day. Two minutes in to the interview, it was pretty evident that the hiring manager was completely uninterested. Her demeanor completely threw the interview off. The job description itself was pretty general in requiring 3 YOE and experience with a few specific programming languages ( all of which I met which is why I applied for the position in the first place ). After explaining my experience with the listed tools and technologies, the hiring manager quickly responded by saying that they are looking for someone with different experience than what I had. It was pretty clear we were just wasting each other's time at that point. My resume clearly summarizes my responsibilities in my prior roles, so I'm not even sure why she decided to interview me if that wasn't what she was looking for.
