      Global Senior Creative Manager Interview

      Feb 1, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Londres, Inglaterra
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Dentons (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2016

      Interview

The entire interview process took an excessive amount of time. I was approached by a recruiter about this role and decided to look into it. I had an in person interview that turned out to be video conferencing instead which was very disappointing. All the interviews I had went very well as I was quite qualified. I interviewed with two senior executives and one external consultant which was a bit different. I never physically met any of my interviewers and only met one person from HR in person. I was told that I had been selected as one of the top two interviewees and a decision would be forthcoming very soon, however they went quiet for weeks. Finally, after several weeks passed I learned that due to internal power struggles and not being able to agree on exactly what they wanted they were going to discontinue the process not offering the job to anyone. It was actually a relief as I did not intend to take the offer had it been made for two reasons: the lack of meeting me in person spoke volumes in their approach and value to people; and the second reason being their reputation among other professionals that I spoke to did not match what I would want professionally or personally from an employer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

One unexpected question I was asked was "how do you feel about working in powerpoint" (this is a question no creative should ever be asked as powerpoint is not a professional designer's tool)
