Interview
Deloitte came to VIT for campus recruitments for BCA and BSc computer science in our college. First, we had an online aptitude test and ten students were shortlisted and were called for the interview at SRM. On that day there was a pre-placement talk and they explained how the company works, what all technologies they use, hierarchy and the salary breakdown. Then we went for lunch and the interview started off at 2 PM. we were called in batches. I was in the 2nd batch. My name was finally called and the placement cell volunteers asked me to sit outside the panel room and gave me a case study. They gave us 10 mins to study that and answer a few sample questions. 15 mins later I was called in and the interviewer introduced himself and made me comfortable. He asked for my resume and other documents I had brought in. He started off by asking about myself and what all stuff I did before college. He then asked me about my internship and my role. then we moved on to the case study part. A major part of my interview was based on the case study. He Tested my problem solving and how well I would perform under pressure. A lot of my answers were based on software Engineering concepts. after that, he asked me "where do you see yourself in 5 years" and asked why Deloitte. After interviewing all the candidates, the results were announced and I was hired. In fact 5 people were hired from our college. Overall various concepts played a huge part in my hiring.
