I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deloitte (Austin, TX) in Oct 2009
Interview
There were 2 interviews, one was behavioral, one was a case, both 30 minutes, back to back. The first interview was conducted by a partner. Frankly he came off as a little conceited. He got more technical than I would have liked, as I never indicated that I was interested in a very technical position. For a student candidate, I'm not underqualified, but he certainly didn't shy away from making me feel as though I was. The case was more technical, but the interviewer didn't go out of her way to give me a hard time.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte in Jun 2009
Interview
Deloitte has an elaborative interview process.
I was 4 rounds of interview - 1 behavioral with HR, 2 Technical,
3 with Manager face to face - Technical case, Sr. Manager Business case interview and Specialist
4 with partner.
I finally got a decent offer.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Deloitte (New York, NY) in Dec 2008
Interview
Phone screening by in-house recruiter followed by trip to New York for all day interview with 4 different people. They put me in a Marriot hotel within walking distance of 9/11 site and their offices. I waited in a nice waiting area where they had a lot of posters touting the diversity of their workforce, all were pictures of people in their early 20s.
After waiting a long time, someone I didn't interview with showed me to a vacant cubicle to wait. I waited for about an hour for the first interviewer to show up. He apologized for being late. After that the interview went quite well. Three different people from project management, technical and business process consulting, then the managing partner.
The first three The interview seemed to go well until the last person, managing partner. He was very rude and confrontational. The only feedback from the recruiter was that the managing partner didn't like me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There weren't any unexpected questions. On one question, I gave what must have been an unexpected answer because it irritated the interviewer.
