The recruiter asked my name and jumped straight to the questions about my project works, asked me to explain the whole working and technology used. My internships and related works. Went well
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Deloitte (New Brunswick, NJ)
Interview
The process started off fine — my first interviewer for the behavioral portion was friendly, went through my resume, and asked the usual questions. It felt like a normal interview.
But the second half, the case study, was a completely different experience. The interviewer came off as uninterested and unengaged. He interrupted me constantly, barely let me finish a thought, and seemed like he just wanted to wrap things up and leave early. I didn’t feel like I was being seriously evaluated — more like I was just taking up his time.
What bothered me even more is that I spoke to a few other candidates afterward, and they had the exact same experience with him. I was really excited about the opportunity, but this whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. It makes you question how seriously Deloitte takes its recruiting process and why someone like that is representing the firm to potential hires.
