I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dell Technologies in Mar 2008
Interview
Complete disconnect between the Dell recruiter and the hiring manager. Hiring manager had not read my resume in advance and also thought I was interviewing for a position different from the one I was contacted for. Hiring manager was completely unprepared. Series of interviews by those on the team. Seemed to be a very inwardly-focused group. Crummy corporate hell offices in Round Rock.
In retrospect, I felt that Dell was simply filling an interviewing quota. Candidates invest a lot in interviewing -take a day off work, a night in a hotel in my case, and not least -the preparation and expectations. I always value the experience of interviewing, but this was a waste. I would not have taken a job if offered. Maybe things have changed?
recruiter screening, followed by several in-depth interviews with hiring managers, sales managers. These rounds often include a focus on behavioral, situational, and sales-pitch scenarios to assess cultural fit. The whole process can span several weeks.
I interviewed at Dell Technologies (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
Very smooth process although the position wasn’t aligned with current market salary. The recruiter was really good and made sure that I was informed during the process. I have 3 rounds and a final one with HR.
Friendly, good recruiter, questions as expected. Got to meet a few people. Recruiters were good. Decent prep and feedback. Limited ability to negotiate. Interview should be fine for experienced AE. Treat like a sales cycle
