The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Delhaize (Bruselas) in Oct 2016
Interview
I was invited for an interview at the Delhaize offices in Brussels. I was asked standard questions and next they asked me in French to explain my biggest accomplishment of the year. Next they asked my if my French writing skills were better than my speaking skills, because they literally told me a was a really bad French speaker. Next I had an interesting conversation with a French speaking person. After that they rudely escorted me outside and asked me about how I felt about the interview. The next day I got an email saying they didn't want to hire me as an intern. On which I replied, asking for some feedback on the interview, to help me in the future. Weeks later, I got a reply from another intern, saying that the person who interviewed me (marketing manager) had not returned to her job yet, in the past weeks, but that I would get an answer as soon as she returned. I obviously never got another reply. Never applying with Delhaize again.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delhaize (Bruselas) in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Delhaize (Salisbury, NC) in Apr 2015
Interview
Very laid back, one-on-one interview. Questions were more personal and felt like a conversation, rather than an interview. We talked a lot about what I would be doing and I tried to pepper in ways that those tasks related to and built on my past experiences.
