I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deel (São Paulo, ) in Jan 2022
Interview
Take-home assignment of "2 hours", which actually takes more time than 2 hours to do. Interviewer had really bad English, making it really hard to understand the questions, and asked specific react questions about problems they only had in their company and expected us to know "how do you render a different company base on the change of screen size". I asked the recruiter if there were going to be leetcode styles of questions and she said it wouldn't. Them in the end of a 1 hour interview which has already passed the time I had available for the interview, the guy with bad english decides to send a leetcode exercise link over google meet call for me to access and share my screen solving the problem without any warning that would be part of the interview, seriously whaaat, the result is that I did not have an account set up in leetcode and couldn't even run the exercise while I got pressured by the interview to solve the exercise in 5min.

The hiring process was impressively fast and overall a positive experience. It began with an introductory HR meeting, followed by a take-home assessment that tested practical skills. Finally, I had a cultural fit interview with a director, which felt conversational and insightful, making the entire journey smooth and encouraging.
